Meet Karen

I am a dedicated and passionate homeopathic practitioner with a firm belief in the power of holistic healing and the innate ability of the body to achieve optimal health. I turned to homeopathy in the early 1980s as a way of supporting my children’s health and well-being, and we were fortunate enough to have Robin Hayfield (author of many homeopathic books, founder of the South Downs School of Homeopathy and all round beautiful person) as our family homeopath. My children are now adults and have all chosen to become healers in fields as different and wonderful as they are.

I’ve worked in health and social care for over 40 years specialising in working with older people and people with learning difficulties and autism, including those at risk of offending. I have by an insatiable curiosity together with a desire for knowledge to better help others. Having seen and experienced the transformative power of homeopathy first-hand, I decided to complement my experience and training by pursing a homeopathic qualification at the School of Homeopathy. I have a solid academic and clinical foundation which enables me to understand the intricacies and strengths of the human body and mind and my homeopathy training has opened doors to a world of endless possibilities.

Currently, I use homeopathy in all areas of my life from helping people, to supporting my rescue cats and also treating plants. A vegan for over 15 years, I am well versed in using homeopathy and complimentary therapies to help those who wish to avoid using animal products.

I have a warm and friendly approach which instantly puts people at ease. I am skilled at creating a safe space where people feel heard and understood. Whether dealing with chronic conditions, mental health concerns, or simply seeking to optimize their well-being, I love to support people on every step of their healing journey.

Who do I work with?

I really love working with all people, and am happy to open my doors to anyone wanting to support their health and well-being with homeopathy. I have thought long and hard about specialisms but I love the variety and all the different people that I see and get to help in my practice. I don’t want to restrict my practice to particular conditions. This means that the range of people I work with is diverse, from menopause to acute anxiety, depression to work addiction – and just wanting to feel better generally. Coping better with side effects of medication and surgery are also areas where people may decide they would benefit from holistic support. I’m always looking to understand the person who has the complaint, it’s not as simple as ‘take this for that condition’. – I work with you to identify the right remedy for you, your symptoms and your circumstances.

The age range of people that I work with is equally diverse. I love to work with babies, children, teens and adults. I also work with adults and children with a range of abilities and impairments – including people with autism, ADHD and people with cognitive impairments.
